This portfolio highlights the breadth and depth of my coursework, projects, and research, reflecting my dedication to advancing human resource development (HRD). As a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), I am committed to leveraging the latest HR practices to enhance organizational performance and employee development. Throughout the program, I have continuously sought to integrate the latest practices in HR leadership, organizational change, and adult education into my work. This collection is not only a testament to my commitment to professional growth, but also a demonstration of my ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios effectively. Explore My Coursework

In this course, I explored the multidisciplinary nature of HRD, drawing on various social science disciplines for its theoretical foundations, research, and methods of practice. The course enabled me to gain a scholarly understanding of foundational HRD theory and understand HRD as an applied discipline.

In this course, I delved into the theories and practices of training and development within organizations. I examined how effective training programs can bridge skill gaps and enhance employee performance, contributing to organizational success.

In this course, I explored the principles and methodologies of adult education. My teaching philosophy emphasizes lifelong learning, personal growth, and professional development, equipping individuals with the skills necessary to adapt to changing job markets and technological advancements.

In the Evaluation Models in HRD course, my team evaluated the English Language Program at Texas A&M's Center for Teaching Excellence, using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess its effectiveness.

In the Change Theory course, I learned to manage organizational change by balancing creativity and logic, effectively communicating, and addressing resistance. I applied frameworks like Kurt Lewin's model and tools like DICE and ADKAR to guide organizations through transitions.

Applied Theoretical Foundations of HRD

Through my course in EHRD 603, I have acquired a profound understanding of human resource development (HRD) concepts and their practical applications. I also delved into strategic needs analysis, emphasizing the importance of aligning HRD strategies with organizational goals to optimize performance and address skill gaps.

Training & Development

Through group projects and discussions in EHRD 612, we examined training needs analysis, program design, and training evaluation. These activities taught us to identify organizational training needs, design effective programs, and evaluate their success in meeting organizational goals.

Methods of Teaching Adults

Through my coursework in EHRD 616, I gained valuable insights into the diverse aspects of adult education. I discovered the importance of fostering a learning environment that promotes self-direction, critical reflection, and the practical application of knowledge. As a leader, this course has equipped me with the skills and confidence to excel as a strategic partner in Human Resources, enabling me to drive organizational change and improve employee engagement.

Evaluation Models in HRD

In EHRD 618, I collaborated with colleagues to conduct a comprehensive Utilization-Focused Evaluation (U-FE) on the English Language Program (ELP) offered through Texas A&M University's Center for Teaching Excellence. This experience deepened my understanding of evaluation as a complex, dynamic, and nonlinear process.

Change Theory

In EHRD 624, I learned to manage organizational change by balancing creativity and logic, effectively communicating, and addressing resistance. I applied frameworks like Kurt Lewin's model and tools like DICE and ADKAR to guide organizations through transitions.

The Future & Beyond

As I look forward to the next chapter of my career, I am eager to collaborate with dynamic organizations that are incorporating artificial intelligence into their people operations.
